Located in Thyolo, Planters Tea Agency, in short PTA, was established in 1954 to supply the tea industry in Thyolo and Mulanje with their engineering requirements.

Over the years PTA has expanded the industries they supply to and the engineering solutions they provide. Our vital role, amongst many things, is to provide genuine spare parts, technical advice, training and, above all, trusted service at a market competitive price.

We are amongst others dealers for John Thompson (boilers), Stihl (power tools), Chiorino (conveyor belting), Challenge Power Transmission (transmission spares), Lasher (hand tools) and Zimmatic (irrigation systems) herewith covering a wide range of agricultural and factory requirements. Next to this we deal as well with more specific, individual requirements by importing your preferred brand at a good price and within the time limit you set for us.

As to services, we have specialized staff at our Thyolo Head Office to supply after-market maintenance of Stihl machines, perform on-site conveyor belt splicing and assist with John Thompson or Zimmatic breakdowns.
